Status pages

A status page tells your visitors or clients whether your services work, before they ask.

Creating a page

On the Status pages screen, create a page and choose:

  • which monitors it shows: from any targets, as many as you like. They are grouped by client, and one tick adds every monitor of a client;
  • the name visitors see for each one (hostnames are never shown);
  • per monitor, whether it shows uptime and response time.

A new page is a draft until you publish it. Only targets with verified ownership can be shown.

What visitors see

The current status of each service and its uptime for the last 90 days, day by day. Uptime on a status page comes from confirmed incidents (a single failed check never shows your visitors a red day), and maintenance windows are left out.

Address and access

Pages live at http://pulsekeeper.io/status/your-name. You can protect a page with a password: type your own or generate one. You can view and copy it at any time to send it to your client again; changing it signs out everyone who used the old one.

Your own domain

Your clients can open the client portal and every status page of your workspace on your own address, such as monitor.youragency.com/status/your-name, instead of ours. See Custom domain for how to set it up.

Search engines

A new page is hidden from search engines: it tells Google, Bing and others not to list it (noindex in both the response header and the page). Anyone with the link can still open it. If you want the page to be found, untick Hide from search engines. Pages with a password and drafts are always hidden.
